Annual Leave - Monday 19 August - Friday 23 August 2019

** We shall be closed for annual leave from Monday 19 August to Friday 23 August 2019.   If you have an urgent dental problem between these dates please contact:

Saltney Dental Practice, 13 Chester Street, Saltney, Chester CH4 8BL on 01244 683993 between 9am and 12 noon.

At all other times (weekends & bank holidays) the normal out of hours arrangements detailed below apply. **

In the event of a dental emergency, please contact the practice on 01244 311716 as early in the day as possible. This will enable us to see that you are treated at the earliest possible opportunity. In most cases this will be the same day as we have appointments allocated for dental emergencies daily.

Urgent treatment is usually required in the following case:

• toothache or swelling that suggests an infection of a tooth or gum
• severe toothache or facial pain which is not controlled by taking over-the-counter painkillers
• trauma of the face, mouth or teeth after a recent accident or injury
• a permanent tooth being knocked out
• bleeding after tooth extraction that you cannot control
• serious swelling of the mouth or face which is getting worse 


Out of Hours emergencies

If you have an emergency when the practice is closed at evenings, weekends and bank holidaysRevive provides a basic emergency/urgent dental service on behalf of NHS England. The Revive dental helpline is 0161 476 9651 for patients in servere pain (not controlled by regular pain relief), uncontrolled bleeding, large swelling, dental trauma or an other condition causing you to feel acutely unwell.
