Welcome to White House Dental Practice Chester...

Coronavirus pandemic and effects on dental care

The Chief Dental Officer for England and the Government announced that dental practices can open to routine care from Monday 8 June 2020.  Unfortunately, we are not yet able to announce a firm reopening date while we make alterations to the practice and our way of working to take into account the latest guidance from Public Health England and The Faculty of General Dental Practice (FGDP (UK)) & the College of General Dentistry (CGDent) released on 1 June 2020.  We are also waiting for the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) we have ordered to arrive which is necessary to protect you and our team during this time. PPE supplies were directed by the NHS to the front line medical and nursing teams.

Please understand that we are working tirelessly to get back to work and to serve our patients as quickly as we can.

When we do open, we will be scheduling appointments taking into account:

1. The urgency of our patient’s needs;

2. The requirements of any vulnerable groups;

3. Our available capacity to recommence your long-term care;

4. Other elective treatments;

5. All of the safety guidelines that we are receiving from our regulators.

As soon as we are open, we intend to see our own emergencies as well as provide the other forms of treatment mentioned above in carefully controlled pathway back to full service.

Please contact the practice if you have any concerns and our team will be on hand for advice.  As the United Kingdom is in a level 4 COVID status at the moment (2 June 2020), we are unable to see patients at this time unless you have a genuine emergency. In that case, until we open, we may have to prescribe remote treatment and/or refer you to an Urgent Dental Centre.

We appreciate your patience during this transitional period as we all do our best to get back to some semblance of normality.

With very best wishes to everyone and please keep safe.

Paul and Jane Mottram & all the team at the practice
