Welcome to White House Dental Practice Chester...

Coronavirus pandemic and effects on dental care - update November 2020

Following the UK Government announcement concerning the lockdown in England starting 5 November 2020, dentistry is still classed as an essential service and the practice will remain open.

Since the spring when we re-opened as an Urgent Dental Care Centre and then began to see our own patients again in early June 2020, we have been working through our list of outstanding dental treatments. We are unable to see the same volume of patients at present due to social distancing, increased practice cleaning procedures between patients, the fallow period (time required for a surgery to be left unoccupied after specific treatments) and the time taken to put on and remove enhanced PPE.

We have a Perspex screen along the whole of the reception desk, locked door policy in place at present, temperature checking on entering for both staff and patients, non-touch hand sanitiser is used by all staff and patients on entering, a one way system exists and all staff wear the correct PPE at all times. To be able to offer all available treatments during the pandemic we were fit tested for enhanced PPE masks which are used for particular treatments such as specific fillings and scaling involving an air and water mix.

We will be able to remain open throughout the new period of lockdown and we urge patients to contact the practice either by telephone (Monday to Friday 9am-1pm and 2pm-5.30pm) on 01244 311716 or by email on [email protected] if they have any dental pain, problems or any concerns at all.We have nearly contacted all patients on the outstanding treatment list and are beginning  check-ups for those patients who need more regular dental care with whom we will be in contact.

Please keep all dental appointments you have already booked in with the practice unless you are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19, been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 positive patient or are self isolating.

On behalf of myself and all of the practice team we hope that you and all of your families are safe and well during this difficult period.
